When your Mac with macOS Sierra or later attempts to connect to a Wi-Fi network, it checks for issues that affect its ability to create a fast, stable, and secure connection. If your Mac detects an issue, the Wi-Fi status menu in the menu bar shows a new item: Wi-Fi Recommendations.
Hi, We've recently installed 802.11ac Wave 1 modules in our 3600 series APs. On 3 (of12) we're seeing containment messages indicating that the ap is being contained (see below) this appears to resolve itself after a couple of minutes, it's always the 3 below but not always at the same time, ap35 and ap36 are near each other. Message: AP 'ap36' is being contained. This is due to rogue device spoofing or targeting AP 'ap36' BSSID on '802.11a' radio.
Message: AP 'ap48' is being contained. This is due to rogue device spoofing or targeting AP 'ap48' BSSID on '802.11a' radio. Message: AP 'ap35' is being contained. This is due to rogue device spoofing or targeting AP 'ap35' BSSID on '802.11a' radio. We're running 7.6.120.0 on the controllers, not sure how to resolve this, it show's the APs MAC address as being spoofed.
